ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Oregon lost three players to fouls and a 65-46 verdict to host New Mexico for the championship of the Albuquerque Midtown Tournament on Saturday at the Lobos' version of The Pit before a crowd of 7,835.

Led by tournament MVP Amy Beggin's 17 points, New Mexico (5-1) dropped the Ducks to 3-2 and 1-1 for the tourney.

"There is a resolve about this team," UO coach Bev Smith said. "We're not going to give in. … We felt we were still in the game with five minutes left."

Micaela Cocks and Taylor Lilley led Oregon with 11 and 10 point, respectively. The Ducks were called for 24 fouls, and Ellie Manou, Ellyce Ironmonger and Kaela Chapdelaine fouled out.

With just over 13 minutes left, Oregon cut New Mexico's lead to 34-28 on back-to-back three pointers by Lilley and Cocks, but that was as close as the Ducks would come in the second half.

"It was a good learning experience for our young players," Smith said. "I don't think many of our young players have played in an environment like this."

Oregon shot 25.0 percent (12-of-48) from the floor, and turned the ball over 19 times. The Ducks also gave up 16 offensive rebounds to the Lobos.

Oregon State 68, UNLV 65: Mercedes Fox-Griffin's layup and free throw with 2.7 seconds lifted the Beavers (3-1) to the title of the Lady Rebel Shootout at the Thomas & Mack Center.

Fox-Griffin took an inbounds pass and dribbled the length of the floor for the winning play. Ashley Allen led OSU with 19 points and made the all-tournament team.
